Queensland Rail from Australia ordered a brand new luxury tilt train. But insiders say that the agency forgot one rather large detail – to add the seats and entertainment systems to the original order.

The agency says it left the seats off the order on purpose, but insiders told The Brisbane Courier Mail that the lack of seats was an oversight.

The new train, announced by the government in 2010, was expected to cost $189 million and feature lay flat seats, similar to airline sky beds, and flat-screen TVs featuring in-seat entertainment.

Queensland Rail confirmed the seats and entertainment consoles were not included in the original cost estimate, saying that they were left off the order because they were still in “commercial discussions.”

The existing Sunlander train is being replaced after 45 years in service.
